This Sunday, June 2nd, Vieira do Minho will be the stage for the parade of around two dozen cattle, which leave from the town of Fornelos, parish of Louredo, towards Serra.
With Vezeira de Louredo, the Vezeira ritual continues, a community tradition in the region that dates back more than two centuries and which safeguards the crossing of cattle by boat to the pastures of Serra do Gerês.
This initiative has two main objectives: to encourage livestock breeders to maintain tradition and to try to combine this aspect with tourism, which is the main economic activity in this region.
Be part of this centuries-old tradition!
