Aimed at wine lovers and the good table, the Pousadela Restaurant, inserted in the tourist village of Pousadela Village, will promote the first wine dinner, and the debut of this initiative takes place on April 13.
From Real Companhia Velha, with special emphasis on Quinta dos Aciprestes, the wines of this dinner will be presented with the partnership of the company RUMO, completing with the backdrop, the stunning view of the Serra da Cabreira.
It will start with a welcome reception at Bar Talefe at 8 pm, followed by dinner around 8:30 pm with the presentation of guest winemaker Sérgio Soares.
And as great wines deserve great dishes, we have prepared for you a sublime tasting menu, developed by Chef Vítor in harmony with the wines selected for the occasion.
At the welcome reception will be served a very balanced white where citrus and vegetable notes are revealed disclosing complexity and exuberance. In the tasting it shows a beautiful structure with good texture and acidity, something quite characteristic of the wines of Quinta dos Aciprestes.
As a starter, the Chef suggests Cheese Puffs with pumpkin jam, where the cheese slice is spread with pumpkin jam, wrapped in a crispy puff pastry.
From the heart of the rump, comes the main dish, Posta à Talefe, a grilled piece, drizzled with olive oil and garlic, accompanied by vegetables and potatoes, which promises to be the real moment of the night. In the glass is served the red of Quinta dos Aciprestes, a classic of the Douro, produced from the varieties Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz and Tinta Barroca of an old vineyard plot. Deep ruby color, reveals aromas of ripe fruits in harmony with vanilla, shows an intense, elegant and powerful wine.
Alternatively and on request, we also select a fish dish, such as Terra-Mar Cod, or a vegetarian dish.
The dessert Pudding Abbot Priscos or in option a wonderful Orange Pie, will come excellently accompanied with the golden bubbly tones of sparkling Chardonnay & Pinot Noir Brut white 2012, the Real Companhia Velha, finishing with refinement the enogastronomic event.
